Max J. Ash
Max J. Ash – Kid Entrepreneur and Philanthropist
An avid fan of both sports and hot chocolate, Max was just 8 years old when he had the idea to put a basketball hoop on a ceramic mug that he was making in art class at school. After entering his mug in a product pitch contest and unexpectedly winning, Max then launched a successful crowd funding campaign, raising more than $6000 for his new business as well as over $900 for a new research program at his school which supports students with dyslexia. Max is dyslexic, and donates 5% of the profits from the sales of his mugs to support research and awareness of dyslexia and other learning disabilities. With several patents pending and a clear aptitude for product design, Max is currently working on “play with your food” concepts for other sports.
