New Mom, Old Traditions
Halfway around the world from her native Australia, New York-transplant Raegan was expecting her first child when she was surprised by her inability to find muslin swaddle wraps. Commonly used by mothers in Australia to swaddle their newborns, these soft and breathable wraps seemed nowhere to be found in the United States. Inspired by Plato, who wrote “necessity is the mother of invention”, Raegan became a mom with a mission on behalf of her new baby girl, Anais, and newborns world-wide. Raegan’s second “child”—her company, aden + anais—has now grown to thousands of stores across 63 countries.
